Click the Apple icon on the menu bar and select Shut Down. Reset the SMC (no T2 Security Chip): This may be necessary after an SMC update.If so, shut it down to see if the issue resolves. Check your apps: Click the Battery icon to see a list of applications that are currently using “significant energy.” You may find that an app constantly appears on the list.Once done, restart by clicking the Apple icon on the menu bar and choosing Restart. ![]() If your Mac is out of date, install any updates.
